Pealake Village Stores

Many visitors to the Surrey Hills and the Hurtwood make sure they stop for lunch at our little shop. If you are after a light snack, a proper sandwich or a piece of cake you’ll find them here. You can also grab a mug of tea or coffee too, and enjoy it in our lovely little village.

We pride ourselves in offering our customers a wide range of high-quality products, some of them made in-store, others sourced from local producers. As a small village shop, we sell a variety of store cupboard essentials and convenience goods. If there’s something you need, we’re very likely to stock it!

There is one very badly kept secret: the Peaslake Stores’ cheese straws, much loved by all! We are also famous for our quiches and pies, pastries and cakes. The notorious pork and leek plait is cooked with local sausage meat.

Organic bread and French baguettes are baked in-store every day. We also sell fresh loaves delivered every morning by Celebration Cakes, the local baker from Cranleigh.

We have a large variety of cheeses and meat available from Sussex Charmer to Coverwood Beef. We also have a large selection of John Murray’s award-winning meat freshly delivered every day!

We stock fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, free-range eggs and freshly cut ham.

The Hogs Back Brewery kindly supplies us with their excellent ales such as TEA and  RIP, and Firebird from the Hogs Back supplies us with amazing IPAs, such as Work Ethic, and Heritage ales. We also have the very local Silent Pool Gin and Dorking Brewery handcrafted beers for sale as well.

This little shop has been around for 115 years as of 2023 and we hope to be with you all for another 115!
